The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) organization is seeking Systems Engineers (Levels 2 & 3) to joinA' our team in Springfield, Virginia for upcoming opportunities in support of Space and Launch programs that operates, tests and integrates new systems.
A' A' You will have the opportunity to work directly with the customers and engage with diverse system end users.
You will work at a spacecraft ground station as part of a Mission Operations teamPosition
Responsibilities:
Apply analytical methods to structured big data from multiple sources to discover objects, relationships, and behaviors.
Leverage industry standard best practices for software data visualization and analysisPerform big data triage by monitoring large volume of data streams for anomalous changes.
Understand the behaviors of multiple data modeling and processing systems and their interactions.
Identify expected, desired, and anomalous system activity and impact to operations.
Work with system developers to identify and prioritize system discrepancies and enhancements.
Support various aspects of spacecraft operations or spacecraft mission planning.
Coordinate with management and peers to ensure the integrity of high quality operational products, including procedures, tools, detailed event logging, and system configuration.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
A final US Top Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience or possessing one or more of the following capabilities/skillsA' A' is a plusTop Secret/SCI ClearanceCI Polygraph Degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science disciplines2
years' experience in a systems engineering related roleExperience working directly with Aerospace VehiclesScripting experience with Python, Perl, and MATLABCritical thinking skills, data analysis, and proactive problem resolution skillsTypical Education &
Experience:
(Level 2) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg Master).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
(Level 3) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
