Job Duties Responsibilities Learn GEICO's business from the insider's view and take advantage of the opportunity to join a team of audit professionals. As an Operational auditor, you will gain broad exposure to a variety of GEICO business processes and systems, as well as having interaction with all levels of associates and management. In Operational audit, you are not handed a pre-determined work plan. Rather, using a risk-based approach, you plan and execute projects and audit engagements that allow you to interact with a number of professionals throughout the company as you learn the inner workings of GEICO's operations. This allows you the opportunity to take ownership of your work products.
o You have the opportunity to help facilitate positive change by examining business processes and recommending areas for improvement to corporate management.
o You will participate in evaluating the design and testing the effectiveness of controls as required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX).
o And your experience will not be limited to auditing just one area. Our cross-functional approach enables collaboration between the Operational, Financial, and IT audit teams. Candidate Qualifications o Strong leadership, analytical/critical thinking, decision-making, and problem solving skills.
o Strong technical skills, including experience with data extraction software (such as IDEA or ACL) is preferred.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects and be a team player.
o Bachelor's degree required. CIA or CPA certification and knowledge of insurance operations preferred.
o Desire and ability to advance to the next level.
