We are looking for an afternoon companion for a young woman with a disabilitywho lives with her family in Chevy Chase. The schedule is 3:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You would be employed by Jubilee Association but also report to the family. If desired, it would be possible to work additional hours with other customers at other locations.
She is a very social young lady, and if hired, you would help her with outings with friends to restaurants, shopping, movies, etc. She also likes computer games, updating Facebook, and watching TV.
She uses a wheelchair and you would assist with all personal care, including lifting and transfers. Her parents say: No experience necessary. Required instead: kind heart, reliable, common sense, desire to help others and enjoy being part of a family environment. Must drive and be familiar with Montgomery County, and speak fluent, articulate English.
Because of the personal care aspect, a female worker is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
