As a member of the Corporate Underwriting Auditing team, you will work to ensure company compliance with state laws and regulations. As you audit the various internal process and departments that affect the company's underwriting, you will interact with regional offices, management, and IT, as well as legal and staff departments to evaluate our current systems, rules and procedures against new and proposed regulations. As part of this position, you will analyze data for manual and automated processes. You will review system requirements with an opportunity to propose improvements.
This position provides many opportunities to interact across departments and with senior management in different divisions of the company, providing you with a solid background to build a well-rounded career. Candidate Qualifications oA bachelor's degree is required, with at least a 3.0 GPA. Preferred studies in Accounting, Auditing, Business Law, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Finance, or MIS.
oIdeal candidate will possess proven analytical skills and superior research skills, as well as superior technical writing and verbal communication skills. Candidates will be required to pass an analytical skills and technical writing test.
oThe successful candidate will have operational auditing experience, regulatory auditing experience, quality control experience, systems testing experience, or other related experience. Familiarity with market conduct exams a plus.
The successful candidate should exhibit the following skills and abilities:
oAbility to coordinate work between a number of different departments across the organization
oAbility to lead projects from inception to implementation with little supervision
oDemonstrated leadership ability
oVery good attention to detail and drive to provide high quality results
oProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access)
oExperience using NILS and Compliance Ware and other legal research preferred
oHigh level of dependability and
