The Project Manager will support a DHS components Mission Support office responsible for several large projects. In conjunction with the client, the candidate is expected to provide leadership, technical direction, and hands-on management for the programs. The Project Manager will support clients by establishing project strategy, by leveraging project data to facilitate data-driven decision-making, and by effectively communicating project progress to all stakeholder groups, including executive management. Candidate will be responsible to quickly and effectively respond to client needs. Candidate will also be responsible to direct work streams and employee development for small team of analysts.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, the candidate will be responsible to:
Coordinate program activities over several field locations and project areas
Leverage project information to make data-driven decisions and establish project strategy
Develop and report on project plans and schedules
Ensure team provides business, performance, and system analytical support to assist program in achieving its stated goals
Engage with technology and business stakeholders and serve as a liaison with client program managers
Develop and present executive-level briefings for related project areas
Create and foster effective, flexible, and high-productivity environment for team
Build and maintain effective, trusted advisor relationships with clients
Across work products and project areas, the candidate will generally be expected to:
Review deliverables for content, alignment to client scope, adherence to best practices and standards, and readability
Understand and interpret client needs and requests
Manage work streams delegated to team members and provide support and oversight to ensure timely delivery and high-value work products
Support clients in development, communication, and execution of the programs strategy
Perform tasks on time and with high level of attention to detail
Engage in regular and sustained client interaction, encompassing both formal presentations and routine conversation, with excellence and professionalism in written and oral communication
Report weekly and monthly status, and attend regular status meetings
Help teams increase efficiency by identifying obstacles, eliminating redundancy and implementing structured project and change management
Minimal Requirements:
Bachelors degree required
Minimum 10 years of experience
Ability to manage projects from initiation through delivery
Experience developing and driving project plans with well-defined milestones
Communication skills to ensure proper project status is maintained and stakeholders are engaged
Collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
Proven experience delivering projects on time and within budget
Self-starter with a great deal of initiative and willingness to contribute to a small business
Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint skills
Must be a US citizen and be able to pass government Public Trust clearance
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in management consulting or business advisory services
PMP or equivalent certification
Experience in federal government sector
Experience with agile methodologies
Active DHS suitability and/or Secret/Top Secret clearance
Job Location:
Washington, DC located in the Ronald Reagan building with the Federal Triangle Metro Station (orange/blue lines) connected to the building by a covered passageway. The building is within walking distance of the White House, the Capitol, the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, and many of Washington, DC's finest restaurants and shops.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
