Under general supervision, the Mid Level Data Analyst will support a DHS components Mission Support team responsible for several large projects. The Mid Level Data Analyst will support program and project managers with collecting and assessing project data, and presenting it clearly and succinctly for project managers. Candidate will be responsible to quickly and effectively synthesize business and project data to enable project managers to make data-driven decisions. Candidate will perform a variety of tasks as dictated by client and project manager needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collect and synthesize business and project data to enable managers to make data-driven decisions
Assess data quality and relevance
Create compelling visual presentations of data
Contribute to the development of project plans and schedules
Provide business, performance, and system analytical support to ensure the program is achieving its stated goals
Engage with technology and business stakeholders and serve as a liaison
Support the development and presentation of briefings for related project areas
Across work products and project areas, the candidate will generally be expected to:
Review deliverables for content, alignment to client scope, adherence to best practices and standards, and readability
Understand and interpret client needs and requests
Support senior management in the development, communication, and execution of the programs strategy
Perform tasks on time and with high level of diligence
Engage in regular and sustained client interaction, encompassing both formal presentations and routine conversation, with excellence and professionalism in written and oral communication
Report weekly and monthly status, and attend regular status meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 8 year experience
At least 3 years of experience in management consulting or business advisory services
Self-starter with a great deal of initiative and willingness to contribute to a small business
Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint skills
Background including business process analysis a plus
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent written communication skills
Experience in federal government sector
Experience with agile methodologies and SharePoint
Bachelor's degree or higher
MUST be able to obtain a public trust clearance; US Citizenship required
DHS and/or Secret or higher Clearance desired
Job Location:
Washington, DC located in the Ronald Reagan building with the Federal Triangle Metro Station (orange/blue lines) connected to the building by a covered passageway. The building is within walking distance of the White House, the Capitol, the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, and many of Washington, DC's finest restaurants and shops.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
