Answering incoming calls and providing assistance or directing calls to the appropriate department.
Greeting and checking in patients upon arrival, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
Checking out patients after appointments, processing payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments as needed.
Verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations for procedures or treatments.
Managing the clinic schedule for doctors, including scheduling appointments, rescheduling as needed, and handling cancellations.
Preparing patient charts and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate for the following day's appointments.
Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
Providing excellent customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
Prior experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a front desk or administrative role.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
