AVP, Enterprise Data Management (Metadata)

Overview:
The AVP Enterprise Data Management (Metadata), will be responsible for a full range of activities, which ensure the operational effectiveness, and accuracy of information within the Bank.
The position will provide data management expertise and assist with the implementation of an active metadata framework, as well as, leading EDM data quality efforts.
This individual will also assist in building a long-term strategy of data to be used within the Bank.
This position will also work with business partners, data consumers and IT to build and maintain a metadata and reporting framework that will support the changing needs of the organization.
This role is also responsible for supporting the Enterprise Data Management team by driving improved communication, processes and data management.
The AVP reports to the Enterprise Data Management team and works regularly with other members within the Bank.
Responsibilities:
Proposes an active metadata framework that helps to better define, classify and manage data assets within the BankRecommends improvements to operational and business processes based on active metadata analysisAssists with the creation of a single source of truth that aggregates data across multiple systems, capabilities and domains.
Leading the establishment of active metadata management software to monitor and produce data profiling/quality on all data domains.
Recommending solutions for upgrading data management processes to drive increased efficienciesLeads data standardization and data taxonomy efforts at enterprise level.
Working closely with data producers, consumers, Data Transformation and Data Solutions to standardize processes for defining and labeling data.
Formulates techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.
Lead EDM Data quality process, using profiling tools to actively identify missing values, outliers and other data anomalies.
Work with data owners to prioritize and remediate issues.
Lead efforts to clean data quality issues in source systems when applicableEnhances data profiling techniques, maintains data dictionary, glossary and catalog, leveraging machine learning software to automate data lineageEnsures active data management documents are up-to-date:
procedures, processes, flowcharts, etc.
Develops processes and proposals to increase accuracy and usage of metadataTrack and research data issues that arise and work with business to fix the issues and/or build a new process/report to identify reoccurring issuesPrimary contact within EDM for all active metadata management, metadata, lineage and data quality questions around existing data structures Partners with Enterprise Data Governance for their needs around data quality, lineage and metadata tracking.
Build and maintain productive relationships within organizationManage, support, hire, and train staffPerform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field, ie finance, accounting, statistics, engineering, data management or business administrationMinimum of 6 years in accounting, banking, commercial lendingMinimum of 4 years data management or data governance.
Minimum of 2 years Active Metadata softwareHighly proficient in Microsoft Office (Visio and Excel) Proficient with data quality profiling toolsExtensive knowledge in credit, deposit and portfolio management processes and practices Must be detail-oriented with organizational skills Must have excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated experience by either managing a team or projectDemonstrated ability to work in both a team and individual environment Demonstrated knowledge of data structures and processesMust be able to prioritize multiple projects and objectives in rapidly changing environmentMust possess high degree of professionalism in working with othersPreferred:
MBA or equivalent degree Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)Managerial experienceExperience with Informatica 360 suitePhysical Requirements:
Role requires sitting or standing in front of a computer monitor for prolonged periods of time in a fixed neck position.
Constant use of a computer or other office equipment resulting in repeating motions of the hands and wrists.
Light work that may include moving objects up to 20 pounds.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
